This Is Our Life: Month 2 In China

I can’t believe its already been two months since we moved to China, time is flying by so fast. I still feel like we’ve only been here for two weeks!

See the entire This is our life series.

Since the last update I’m un-pleased, but un-surprised to announce that its still freezing cold over here. Seriously China, what’s up with that? Our bodies are no longer sun kissed and we’re slowly starting to resemble the pale state I can only imagine we were as babies. I’m really trying to embrace my paler side but between this and the lack of blue skies, the whole winter is something I’m just looking forward to being over.

They Get Around Reader Survey

As we come up to the new year I’ve decided to ask you all what you would like to see more of (and less of) to make They Get Around a more interesting blog. I won’t lie and say that its easy knowing what type of things to write about, nor will I claim to know much about any of you apart from the fact that most of you are American.

Due Date For Our 1st Book: A Personal Look Into Our Lives

Sorry, the launch has been pushed back to later in the year. We’ve been a bit too busy of late 🙁

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always loved to write. During the summer holidays in New Zealand and early on in Australia my mother would fly me down to my Aunt’s place in the North Island and there she would teach me to write stories, draw and play the piano.

Life Forecasting: Five Years In The Future

Recently I became aware of the idea of forecasting one’s future from the Aussie on the road after seeing one of his older posts (which I can’t quite find now on his website but its there somewhere!). We thought we’d give it a go and predict what might be in store for us over the next five years.

For me (lexi) this is particularly exciting as before I caught the travel bug I had my entire life planned out. With that old plan out the door it will be fun to try and guess (not plan) what our future will be like.
